Mastertel, Telecommunications operator in Moscow and St. Petersburg, has reported on its project for the Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System. Mastertel’s brief was to unite FGC’s offices into a single telecommunications network.
FGC gave Mastertel the task of setting up telecommunications at their newly renovated office at the Zapadnye Vorota Business Center and to optimize the IT infrastructure. This task represented a number of challenges, including the incorporation of a new office into the departmental network. The departmental network of FGC would be integrated with both the corporate and technological networks.
Mastertel coupled fiber-optic cable at the Company's new office, located at Zapadnye Vorota, with the ‘IT ENERGY’ Data Center. Reserve cable was laid to FGC’s Executive Office, located on Academic Chelomey Street.
"The proposed level of quality will fully meet customer requirements. We are pleased to contribute to the growth and further development of FGC in the field of information and telecommunications technologies. Partnering a leading energy company in Russia confirms the correctness of our strategy, which is based on the desire to provide high quality solutions,” said Vitaly Ezopov, Executive Director of Mastertel.
The ‘offices unification service’ is designed for customers who require the integration of their local computer networks at remote offices into a single network. As a basis for the construction of VPN-networks Mastertel uses its own fiber-optic network, called Master-Connect, which covers the entire territory of Moscow and Moscow region. Mastertel’s specialists set up all hardware equipment and install all necessary software. A unified network of data- and voice-channels was established for all branches and divisions of the Company.
