Mastertel invests into its future

07/16/2009

The Connection Service Provider in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Mastertel, in the framework of enlarging its services ‘coverage zone’ has bought the telecommunications company CityTell’s assets.

CityTell was established in the year 2000 and specialised in the connection of telephone lines and Internet access as well as tuning and support of corporate clients networks. Among CityTell’s clients were more than 300 connection services consumers, mostly renters of the Capital’s six business centres. After the merger Mastertel will improve its technical base, introduce corporate standards of quality, as well as significantly enlarging its list of services provided. Negotiations with clients and owners of business centres (in the territory in which CityTell has been operating), showed real interest in overall service quality improvement and the arrival of Mastertel, the well-known service provider.

"The purchase of lower scale telecom players is one of most efficient ways of promotion in the market. From one point it enables us to more intensively increase the service provider’s subscriber database. From another point it provides new clients with a higher quality service level. All of these reflect the positive dynamic of the Capital’s economical processes. Such investments affect business development and brand recognition in a positive way, as well as enabling new clients to avail of a higher quality connection", — commented Vitaly Ezopov, Mastertel’s Executive Director, on Mastertel’s new purchase.
