Mastertel (Connection Service Provider in Moscow and Moscow Region) has announced the completion of its service provision project for the "Rain" TV channel.
Within the framework of this project, the types of services provided will be: digital channels (enabling the provision of high-quality multi-channel connections), as well as customised telephone numbers for the TV channel's studio and high speed Internet access.
Laying the fibre-optic connection line was harder than normal due to the client's location. The historical city centre and its underground utility lines in close proximity to the river Moscow, both required non-standard solutions. In addition, this TV channel is located in an "historical value" building, which became a symbol of the Soviet era. It was originally the Krasniy Octyabr Factory. Rain TV now occupies what was then the chocolate department, with a total floor area of thousands of square metres.
Rain TV's Optimistic Channel is a new live television channel, broadcasting non-stop 24 hours round the clock. The broadcasting began with an experiment held in Russia for the very first time. It is a live show entitled "Building a live channel. Everything is broadcast". Here people can watch every stage of a new TV channel being built up: meetings, planning meetings, news releases and author program extracts, pilot filmings, training, interviews and castings, etc. Gradually the roster fills with finished programs, with clips and special projects shown in between them. Rain TV broadcasts in SDI and HD standards.
