Mastertel (Connection Service Provider in Moscow and St. Petersburg) are taking part in a project organising the broadcasting in Russia of the World Cup Football Tournament 2010.
The Company is providing a high speed digital connection channel, through which a high resolution television signal will be broadcasted. This will be achieved from the node of the European Broadcasting Union in Moscow to the VGTRK "Rossiya" television channel node in Moscow.
Resources of the Master-Connect Network were utilized, which is Mastertel's infrastructure base and meets all of the most modern technical requirements. This enabled the carrying out of work on the connection channel in such a short time and at the highest technological level.
TTK, the EBU's exclusive World Cup 2010 broadcaster uses the EBU's European connection node to broadcast to Moscow. TTK is one of the leading trunk connection service providers in Russia.
The digital channel Frankfurt au Main/Helsinki/Moscow, organised by TTK, will become the main on-land news delivery route from South Africa.
