It has been several years since Mastertel has participated at the MIPIM International Property Exhibition taking place in Cannes at the beginning of March. This year the Telecommunications Service Provider’s stand was located at the stand jointly hosted by the Moscow Government with other leading developers of the Capital also presenting their projects. As well as a presentation of new telecommunications services, everybody’s attention was drawn to the highlight of the stand, i.e. the antique exhibits from the Museum of Telephone History, the curator of which is Mastertel.
Last year the ‘most visited’ stand was that of the Moscow Government. This year it was called ‘Investment Portrait of Moscow’. Several significant projects displaying Moscow’s current ‘character’ were presented at the stand. Moscow’s Mayor, S.S. Sobyanin, headed the Moscow Government’s delegation and was present at the opening of the exhibition. During the grand opening ceremony Mayor Sobyanin noted that Moscow is still one of the main European sites for city property and infrastructure investment. In addition, he mentioned the development of new territories in the Capital being a priority for Moscow’s Government.
Every year the so-called ‘Russian Sector’ at the exhibition grows by 15-20%. Not many Russian property exhibitions could deliver similar results. In 2013 more than 130 Russian companies were registered at MIPIM, 45 of which arrived with their own stands. The remainder worked as part of regional delegations.
MIPIM is an annual international professional commercial property exhibition which has been taking place in Cannes since 1990. It is the largest, most impressive and the highest level investment forum in Europe. Gathered at the Cannes exhibition are the industry’s most significant players, from landscape concept designers up to investors and end consumers. The Russian Federation has been among the four leading countries participating in MIPIM together with Great Britain, France and Germany.
